Christmas Gifts on a Budget

What about a gift of service? Do you remember when you were little and you made coupons for your mom and dad? Well, what about continuing the tradition with a twist?
In today's world, you can print out gift cards, punch cards or standard coupons and give them to your neighbors, friends and loved ones.
Here are a few ideas:

For Friends and Neighbors
  • One leaf raking for your neighbors yard
  • One day of helping a friend clean out their garage
  • One session of organizing a friend's closet
  • Take your friends children to a movie
  • Babysit a new mom's baby so she can sleep
  • Plant winter hearty flowers for a neighbor
  • One hot Meal delivered for dinner
For Family Members

  • A punch card of five minute back rubs
  • Take out the garbage without being asked
  • Do your child's chores for the day
  • Make Mom and Dad breakfast
  • King or Queen for the day (that person gets to choose the activities and menu for the day)
  • Find all the missing socks around the house
You get the point, there are many ways to tell each other that you are important to them during the holidays that do not involve spending money.
Get Creative and have fun this holiday season without the regret of big bills to pay off in January. You will make their day and it is sure to be the most memorable present of all times.
